Well, S4C’s new comedy service will feature 3 short sketches created in the style of those much-loved photo stories. Spring has sprung a new commission for Twt Productions

Spring has sprung and with it a brand new animation commission from S4C.

‘Canu’ is a series of animated Welsh nursery rhymes which will launch on Cyw and youtube later this year. Working in partnership with Y Mudiad Meithrin and Booktrust Cymru, the series will showcase traditional as well as current nursery rhymes.

We’re delighted to be working with Picl Animation and the talented animation students at Cardiff met.

The series is being storyboarded and directed by Hurst Animation and our musical director is Dyfan Jones.

Melin Tregwynt has kindly allowed us to used their textiles to create our wonderful backgrounds, illustrated here in ‘Oes Gafr Eto’

Hidden Heroines

This week (January 7th), BBC Wales celebrates five hidden Welsh heroines and discuss the effect they had on Modern Wales. We worked with BBC Wales to create a child-friendly addition to Parasol Media’s main films, geared specifically at key stage two junior school pupils. Short and sweet, our 3 minute archive-lead films places these fantastic women in the context of the myriad of developments in Wales’ history between the late 19th century and the present day.

Christmas Eve

At 09:45 on Christmas eve, S4C will broadcast a Christmas edition of Oli Wyn.

In this episode, Oli Wyn and a group of year 1 and 2 pupils from Ysgol Glan Morfa in Cardiff, take a closer look at how Cardiff Council went about decorating the city centre.

The youngsters were a pleasure to film and sang beautifully outside the Castle, despite the cold!
